Clients and staff can now reply to
messages
and
pet care journal comments
directly from their email, and their responses will be added to the system automatically. Whether responding to a journal update or an ongoing message conversation, there's no need to log in---just hit "Reply" in your email, and your message will be recorded in the appropriate place.
How It Works
  • When a
    journal notification
    or
    comment email
    is sent, recipients can reply via email, and their response will be added as a
    comment
    on the journal.
  • When a
    message notification
    email is sent, recipients can reply, and their response will appear in the
    Messages
    feature, just as if they had logged in to respond.
  • Notifications are sent to the appropriate parties just like in-system replies.
Additional Notes
  • The email subject line for journal notifications and comments has been standardized (e.g.,
    "Pet Care Journal #123"
    ) so that email applications can keep the conversation threaded.
  • Only clients and sitters
    can reply by email to Journals. Management notification emails for journal comments are
    not reply-able
