Dismissible In-system Notifications
in progress
Adam Smith
Some items in the yellow in-system notifications box are now dismissible by using the "X" button to the right of the notification. A dismissed notification is only dismissed for your account so other managers would still see the notification until they dismissed it themselves. Sitters can dismiss non-essential notifications as well. Currently there are no notifications that clients can dismiss.
Looking for feedback both on notifications which have not been made dismissible that you think should be and vice versa.

One thing worth building into this while it is in progress. Right now dismissing an alert clears it for the login that dismissed it, not for the business. On a team with several managers that means one person handles an item and everyone else still sees it sitting there, so it gets worked twice or assumed handled and worked by nobody.
If a dismissal could be marked as handled for the whole account, with the name of who cleared it and when, the alert box would go from a list of things to a record of what has been dealt with.

Joette White: This specific functionality has been in testing long enough that it has almost become legacy. It would require an overhaul to do what you're asking, but that may be the direction we need to go with it. Really, some of what you're asking here is direction we're going with the Communication Hub, so this may need a refresh to plug into that once the direction solidifies. We'll see.

Thanks I turned dismissing off for now. When I get another Prospect I'll see if it comes back. It's something that I need to keep my eye on cuz the owner might do something with them and I need to keep track. I have to watch that fat fingering I meant to dismiss a couple of the key notifications!

I accidently dismissed the notification that we have 2 new prospects. Can I get it back?
Adam Smith
Suzanne Joyce: You can't un-dismiss notifications. However, if you get more prospects in the future the notification should return. You're not permanently dismissing that entire notification type.

I've only noticed the "new prospect clients this week" having a cross next to it. It seemed to work ok but today it's not there again. Specific key notices would be good to delete as sometimes they don't actually need a key. Also availability notices.

I like that I can dismiss the key notices. I do that when I know that the sub walker has access (but I don't want to assign her the key, because its temporary. But I notice that in some cases, I have to keep dismissing the same notification every time I go back to the schedule, so It's not sticking. (some of them are!!) thanks though!

Would be helpful if I dismissed it, it would be dismissed on the managers account too

I wish if a sitter was full for a timeblock and just cannot take additional visits that the visits would not show up here daily...especially ongoing visits. I have sitters who can do all of their ongoing visits but not take additional midday clients. We spend a lot of time xing out the visits in the yellow box. I do like the notifications but if there was an option for a sitter being full vs. not available that would be super. Thanks

Shannon Centola: It is possible to edit the Availability and choose "Don't show availability conflicts" although I understand that for a series of Availability this would apply to more than just a single day. That's something for the Availability Overhaul.

Adam Smith Thank you, that is the exact issue we are having. Thanks for putting the Availability overhaul on your roadmap.
