. This update focuses on improving journaling, GPS accuracy, and sitter workflows, along with several interface refinements.ComposeIQ (AI Journal Assistance)
ComposeIQ
is a built-in AI writing assistant to help sitters create clear, consistent journal notes faster.- Generates draft journal entries using the information already recorded in the journal and visit

This is designed to reduce time spent writing journals while improving quality and consistency.
Improved GPS Tracking + Live Timer
GPS tracking is now
more accurate and consistent
across devices.- A GPS tracking timernow appears when active
- iOS: Uses Live Activities(also shown inDynamic Island)
- Android: Displays in a persistent notification
- Helps sitters confirm tracking is running and how long it has been active
Undo Arrival
Sitters can now correct accidental arrivals directly in the app.
- Once a visit is marked Arrived, aUndo Arrivalbutton becomes available
- No need to contact a manager for corrections
Streamlined Workflow Buttons
My Schedule action buttons requiring confirmation (e.g.,
Arrive
) now support hold-to-confirm
.- Tap = regular flow (with confirmation)
- Hold = instant action
- Reduces friction during high-volume workflows
Interface & Usability Updates
- The yellow notification barnow scrolls with the page for clearer visibility
- Status bar and interface elements have received visual clean-up and modernized styling
Video Support for Pet Care Journals
For those who don't have access to this functionality yet, you will experience it first as part of this update. More info can be found in the dedicated post.
Confirm Cancel Prompt (Journal Entries)
- A confirmation dialog now appears when tapping Cancelon a journal entry.
- Prevents accidental loss of information entered into the journal form.

This is good stuff thank you Adam! Having some of our managers and lead walkers test this out over the next couple of days before we send out to the walkers.
Not sure if anyone else might find this useful as well but an "Undo Completion" button could be really helpful also. Doesn't come up nearly as often as walkers needing to undo arrivals, but be good to save managers from those calls too.
The AI assistant for journals looks really promising! The "Friendly" setting has a nice tone and from the couple of tests I've done it comes across really naturally.
One suggestion on the AI, if there's a backend system prompt, can you add something to it to try and eliminate its use of long hyphens (—)? It's a small thing, but for anyone that has spent time using ChatGPT, it's a dead giveaway that it was written by an AI.

I have lost, on more occasions than I can count, fully finished journal entries by fat finger clicking "cancel" instead of save as draft." Please add a prompt confirming the cancelation of a journal entry.

Jakob Senneville There isn't a way to turn off only video, you would need to turn off journal photos (which would turn off both). What do you foresee being any issue?

Adam Smith I don't particularly have an example at the moment. We will build SOP's around this although who knows with people sometimes I was just seeing if it was an option as we may want to disable this or give certain people access to it in the future.
Sometimes what staff find is funny clients do not find it funny and find it quite rude. This may not even be a problem just thinking ahead.
Also just to give myself some time to build some SOP's do you have a rough release time like a month plus a few weeks plus etc.

I would love to add an “undo arrival” button as well! In spotty service occasionally it will arrive at the wrong visit and there is no way for sitters to undo this currently.

Phone widgets

During a walk or a visit it can be time consuming to go on your phone to check how much time has passed in the visit. It would be helpful if there was a tracker that says how much time is left with a little bar on your Home Screen, almost like when you order on Uber and you get to see how long till it arrives.
