Remove client's ability to change sitter tips that have already been paid out.
Becky O'Neil
When payroll has been processed, it should eliminate the client's ability to change or delete a paid out tip. These have been paid and we cannot take them back without a reason. The client should have to contact the admin team to change or delete a tip so that we can approve the change or not and then follow up with the sitter.

Can we also add automatic/default tip options on client accounts (e.g. defalt to 20%)?
Becky O'Neil
That is the way it usually happens for me, as well. But I recently had a client who passed away. The estate executor was paying final bills and went in and deleted tips paid out for the previous three months.

I didn't know this was a thing. Clients can change the tip amount? Is this after they have already paid the invoice or prior to?
Susan Gary
Agree!

Yes! Clients also dont realize that if they change the automatic tip amount in their profile, it affects previous payouts. Super annoying!

Sunshine Gentile it does. How does that happen when an invoice has already been closed out?
S

Julie Gonzalez and where does that money even go? My clients pay through Paypal so it's not going back on their cards that i can see.

Sunshine Gentile this just doesn't make any sense. I have not seen that happen within my business. After an invoice has been paid the automatic tip should not affect the closed invoices. I can see how going forward with any unpaid invoices. Do you bill after the service or prior to? I bill prior to service.

Julie Gonzalez i bill prior to service as well. I see when it happens when i run payroll because it shows up as a negative in the tip column for the sitter. It's a small amount for each visit affected (usually -.04 cents or something similar) and may occur over the course of a few pay periods before it stops. That's all i know.

Sunshine Gentile Oh I see what you are saying.
