Route Mapping

Maybe I don’t fully understand how the route map works, but from what I am seeing nothing shows up on the route map unless a sitter is assigned to the care. Why is this? Why can we not see the entire day for instance with unassigned care in order to provide more efficient route mapping?

100% agree with this, would be a really nice feature and make things much easier for assigning pop up visits!
This topic in general might need a megathread or something because there are A LOT of things that could be better for route mapping in general.
- Biggest one by far, we need to be able to reorder ongoing visits with a time block! Our midday time block is set up as 11am-2pm, and we deliberately don't use specific arrival times to reinforce to clients and walkers that arrival times aren't set in stone. Currently, ongoing services within a time block are ordered by when they hit the schedule, and the only way to reorder them is to cancel and re-add the ongoing schedules. There should be a way to drag and drop ongoing schedules and reorder ALL future visits.
- To go along with the above, it would be really helpful to be able to see a full week of appointments in Route View on the map so we can reorder in bulk for a single sitter.
- AssignIQ has a ton of potential to help with this type of thing, but from what I can tell it's really only useful for new requests. It would be awesome if we could click on a walker's schedule for a day/week, and have it automatically reorder the visits into the most efficient route possible while still keeping arrivals within the time block.
- To go along with the above, if we reorder a walker's schedule using AssignIQ, if a manager might have accidentally overbooked someone it can flag a visit if drive times will push an arrival outside the time block.
- After walks are completed, the system should be able to automatically reorder the visits in the order they were completed. This would help soooooo much for mileage and time tracking!

Tom Henaghan: It is possible to use AssignIQ for routing of existing visits only. Select them, use "AssignIQ" and then in the bottom left check "Routing Mode"

Adam Smith Cool, i didn't realize it could do that! Just tried doing it for one of our walks with a busy route on Monday and it looks like it did a pretty nice job with it too. Is there a way for it to spit out more accurate drive times between the visits? It looks like it's always putting 30 minutes as drive time, or in the case of clients with multiple visits (one morning and one afternoon) it marks the drive time as 0 minutes. If it's a default setting, is there a way to change the default cushion?

Adam Smith is this after they are assigned to a sitter that you can do this? How does AssignIQ help here? Is there a video on how this can be done?
J

Tom Henaghan how did you do this? I don't see the assignIG option or the routing mode option either.

Julie Gonzalez View the master schedule in 1 Day mode. Select which walker you want to test with, ideally someone with a busier route. Click Select All to highlight all visits, click the Actions dropdown at the top and click assign, then select AssignIQ.
When AssignIQ pulls up, at the bottom left corner click Routing Mode, then Re-Run AssignIQ.
I'd suggest pulling up the route view for the same walker's schedule for the day you're testing in a separate tab. That way you can go back and forth between what's currently scheduled on a map, and compare it to what AssignIQ is suggesting.

Tom Henaghan hmm when I click the actions dropdown button and click assign I don't see an option for AssignIQ. I guess I will need to send in a support ticket. Thank you!

Julie Gonzalez are you set up with a beta system? AssignIQ might not have released for all systems yet.
J
Julie Gonzalez
Tom Henaghan no I am not part of a beta group. That's possibly why I am not seeing it?

Julie Gonzalez Yea that must be it, don't think it's been rolled out as a full system feature quite yet.

Tom Henaghan well dang lol. This will be so helpful when it is rolled out. Will certainly help with scheduling that is for sure.

Tom Henaghan: Any issues you're experiencing are better off in a ticket. They get lost too easily in threads here.

Adam Smith Ok thanks Adam, sorry didn't think of that. I'll submit a ticked on the AssignIQ drive time issues.

Yes. It would be cool to see the entire day to ponder grouping.
