Supported unattended office jobs without an active browser session
Melissa Hall
Following support ticket #44657, could Precise offer a supported way to run scheduled office jobs without depending on an awake computer or a continuously signed-in desktop browser?
Merry Puppins uses a virtual assistant on a Mac for scheduled office work, including a daily 6 a.m. Staff Dashboard Message refresh. Support confirmed that desktop sessions expire after inactivity, another sign-in can end the current session, and a separate staff login still times out and counts toward the active staff tier. No exempt automation seat is currently supported.
Please consider native scheduled jobs or an officially supported integration/API with narrowly scoped, revocable authorization, clear ownership, run history, and failure notifications. Scheduling should respect the business time zone, and access and any seat or integration charges should be explicit. This should use supported authentication rather than requiring a browser session to remain alive.
The native Team Leader coverage panel is tracked separately under “Optional staff dashboard panel: who is on duty / on call.” This request covers the broader need for reliable scheduled office work.
