We're excited to announce an update to our Pet Care Journals: pet sitters can now add videos alongside photos. This is available exclusively in our testing apps for now. With this update, you can capture brief video clips (up to 15 seconds) in addition to photos. How It Works: Videos are limited to 15 seconds in length and are trimmed automatically starting at the beginning of the chosen video Both the add journal interface (prior to the journal being created) and journal view interface have been improved to allow for easy full screen viewing of both photos and videos

We've released a major update to the mobile app. This update focuses on improving journaling, GPS accuracy, and sitter workflows, along with several interface refinements. ComposeIQ (AI Journal Assistance) ComposeIQ is a built-in AI writing assistant to help sitters create clear, consistent journal notes faster. Generates draft journal entries using the information already recorded in the journal and visit Provides multiple tone/style options Sitters retain full control to review and edit before submitting This is designed to reduce time spent writing journals while improving quality and consistency. Improved GPS Tracking + Live Timer GPS tracking is now more accurate and consistent across devices. A GPS tracking timer now appears when active iOS: Uses Live Activities (also shown in Dynamic Island ) Android: Displays in a persistent notification Helps sitters confirm tracking is running and how long it has been active Undo Arrival Sitters can now correct accidental arrivals directly in the app. Once a visit is marked Arrived , a Undo Arrival button becomes available No need to contact a manager for corrections Streamlined Workflow Buttons My Schedule action buttons requiring confirmation (e.g., Arrive ) now support hold-to-confirm . Tap = regular flow (with confirmation) Hold = instant action Reduces friction during high-volume workflows Interface & Usability Updates The yellow notification bar now scrolls with the page for clearer visibility Status bar and interface elements have received visual clean-up and modernized styling Video Support for Pet Care Journals For those who don't have access to this functionality yet, you will experience it first as part of this update. More info can be found in the dedicated post . Confirm Cancel Prompt (Journal Entries) A confirmation dialog now appears when tapping Cancel on a journal entry. Prevents accidental loss of information entered into the journal form.

This seemingly simple feature brings incredibly powerful capabilities to your management toolkit. Similar to Client Segments , Staff Segments allow you to organize your staff into multiple groupings, tailored to your needs. One of the key ways to group staff is by Date of Hire , enabling you to automatically create segments based on how long staff members have been working for you (relative to the current date). Here's how you can leverage Staff Segments: You can set up automatic staff segments on the Operations > Segments > Staff Segments page. Staff can be segmented based on Date of Hire , Account Type , Tag , Territory , and any custom search . Staff members can belong to multiple Staff Segments simultaneously. Individual staff cannot be manually added or removed from a segment --- instead, adjust the segment's criteria to include or exclude them. Segment-based Custom Rates : For larger companies, this feature saves significant time by eliminating the need to constantly adjust custom rates for individual staff members. Simply set a rate for the Staff Segment, and the system will apply it automatically. Note: If a staff member belongs to multiple segments with custom rates, the system will apply the rate from the first segment listed on the Segments page (you can reorder this list as needed). Segment-based Hourly Pay Rates and Additional Pet Pricing : Set and manage hourly pay rates and custom pricing for additional pets at the segment level. Segment-based ANYONE Assignments : Assign visits to an entire Staff Segment. Only staff in that segment will be notified, and they will have the ability to view and accept the visits. Send Messages to Staff Segments : From the Communication > Messages page, you can send messages directly to any Staff Segment, just like messaging Client Segments. Filter Reports and Master Schedule by Staff Segment : Easily search and filter your reports or the Master Schedule by Staff Segment. Don't forget to use the Save Search option on the schedule for quick access to frequently used filters.

You can now see and edit the tip distribution on invoices in one place. To use the tool click on the $ in the Tip column on the Invoices page. From there you can use the "Edit Tip Distribution" button and quickly change how the tip is distributed between visits. Note: The Total Visits Tip $ is not expected to match the Total Paid Tip $ until the invoice has been paid in full. Once paid in full if those numbers don't match it may mean that a manual change has been made (which can be fixed using this tool).

PetIQ is an AI-generated summary for Pet Profiles. It can be seen on the Summary tab of Client Profiles, where it appears at the top of each pet (it is not seen on the Pet Profiles page). Important details: This is not intended to be a replacement for reading through Pet Profiles, but it should provide a great introduction (or refresher) while also pointing out the most important details, especially when you have a client who has shared extensive information. Because Sitters and Managers can see different Pet Profile fields, a different summary is created for each (summaries are based only on data someone can already see). Summaries are regenerated every time a Pet Profile has been updated. In order to create an AI summary, we need to share your pet data with OpenAI. If you do not like this or do not want to use this feature for any other reason, it can be turned off under Business Settings > Additional .
