We would love to see two separate note options for clients when they submit a reservation request. We think this could be helpful for other companies that allow sitters to see client notes too. We currently have our client reservation notes visible to both our office and sitters, and we really like having this turned on. Clients often give us helpful temporary updates when booking, such as when to start watering plants, a medication that is only needed every other day, a temporary feeding change, or something else the sitter needs to know for that particular reservation. The challenge is that clients also use this same note box for booking requests that are really meant for the office, such as: Preferred sitter(s), Specific arrival times, Scheduling requests, Start/end date questions, and other requests related to how the reservation is scheduled We don't necessarily want our sitters seeing those details, especially sitter preferences. We have multiple qualified sitters who may care for the same home, and our office ultimately determines who is assigned based on the reservation and availability. The attached screenshot is a good real-life example. The client requested 2 of the 4 sitters who know their home. One of the sitters who wasn't mentioned has a sister who also works for us. Even something completely innocent like that could become uncomfortable if it gets casually mentioned between team members. Our office caught it and removed the sitter request before the team saw it, while keeping the actual client updates they needed. We do this whenever we notice booking-specific information, but when the office is moving quickly to process reservations and secure sitters, it would be great not to have that extra step. What We Would Love to See When a client submits a reservation, give them two temporary note fields: Option 1) Reservation Request Notes - Office Only For sitter preferences, scheduling requests, requested times, date questions, and anything else related to booking the reservation. Option 2) Client Updates for This Reservation - Office & Sitters For temporary information the sitter needs during those visits, such as medications, plant care, feeding changes, or other reservation-specific updates. Both would be temporary notes for that reservation only. They would not replace the client's permanent home and pet care instructions in their profile. We think this would give clients a clearer place to put each type of information, help protect internal scheduling decisions and sitter relationships, and save the office from having to edit client notes before sitters see them. This request is specifically for the client-facing reservation request process, not the existing option for the clients or office to manually create a client-specific note. Would this be helpful for other companies too? We'd love your vote if you run into the same issue!
